WHY YOU’LL LOVE THESE OATMEAL CRAISIN CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

Easy to Make: This recipe is straightforward and easy to follow for both experienced bakers and those new to baking.

Perfect Blend of Flavors: The combination of chewy oats, sweet chocolate chips, and tangy Craisins creates a delightful balance of flavors in each bite.

Chewy and Soft Texture: These cookies have a wonderfully chewy and soft texture. They’re a joy to eat and satisfying to sink your teeth into.

Cranberry Twist: The addition of Craisins adds a unique twist to the classic oatmeal chocolate chip cookie. Craisins are slightly tart and have a fruity flavor that complements the sweetness of the chocolate chips.

Healthier Option: Oatmeal cookies contain whole grain oats, providing a bit of fiber and other nutrients, making them a slightly healthier alternative to some other sugary treats.

    BENEFITS OF EATING HEALTHIER COOKIES

Switching to healthier versions of your favorite cookies offers advantages, allowing you to indulge without compromising your well-being. Here are some reasons to opt for these scrumptious Oatmeal Craisin Chocolate Chip Cookies:

Nutrient-Rich Ingredients: These healthier cookies feature nutrient-dense ingredients like oats, craisins, and dark chocolate. Oats are an excellent source of fiber, which aids digestion and helps maintain a healthy weight. The craisins provide antioxidants and vitamin C, while dark chocolate contains flavonoids that support heart health.

Reduced Refined Sugar: These cookies minimizes the use of refined sugar by using coconut palm sugar and white sugar. Refined sugar consumption has been linked to various health issues, including obesity, diabetes, and inflammation. The alternative sugars add a delicate sweetness without causing rapid spikes in blood sugar levels.

Whole Grains: The inclusion of quick oats in this recipe provides wholesome sources of complex carbohydrates and fiber. Complex carbs offer a sustained release of energy, keeping you energized and focused throughout the day. The fiber content aids in maintaining healthy cholesterol levels and promotes a healthy gut.

Mindful Indulgence: Incorporating healthier cookies into your diet allows you to indulge in a guilt-free manner. Treating yourself to treats made with nutrient-dense ingredients can be emotionally satisfying. It prevents feelings of deprivation, which are common with restrictive diets.

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.

Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in the vanilla extract.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
